KERALA STATE RENEWABLE ENERGY AWARDS - 2017
​ Invitation for Applications

Government of Kerala is pleased to constitute the “Kerala State Renewable Energy Awards” from 2017, in order to promote excellence in various areas of new and renewable energy technologies in the State. The Award would be to give recognition to the selected enterprises, organizations and individuals who have made systematic and serious attempts for efficient utilization of renewable energy and research & promotion of renewable energy technologies. The qualifying period for the Renewable Energy Award of a particular Year would be the previous financial year. Accordingly the Renewable Energy Award – 2017 would consider activities undertaken in the State of Kerala, from 1st April 2016 to 31st March 2017. The awards will be given in the form of a Plaque with appropriate citation on such award, as may be decided by the State Level Monitoring Committee for Renewable Energy Awards in Kerala.

The performance would be judged from the details submitted through a proforma which would be evaluated by the Committee and if needed through a visit/interview by the Award Judging Committee. The Committee would take a final decision depending upon the number of entries received and other considerations. Those enterprises/organizations/individuals, who have received Awards within the last three years, if adjudged to be eligible for recognition in the qualifying year too, based on their performance, will be eligible for a Commendation Certificate. 

​ ELIGIBILITY/CATEGORISATION

​ The scheme is open to all enterprises in the State of Kerala, as per the categorization listed below.

​ Category 1: Industrial Units

​ Industrial units who have implemented renewable energy projects in the State of Kerala

​ Category 2: Commercial Consumers

​Commercial Buildings - new & retrofits- including hotels, hospitals etc. who have implemented  renewable energy projects in the State of Kerala

​ Category 3: Education Institutions

​ Educational Institutions, who have implemented renewable energy projects /involved in research and development activities of renewable energy technologies in the State of Kerala.

​ Category 4: Public Institutions

​ Public Institutions, who have implemented renewable energy projects / involved in promotional efforts/research and development activities of renewable energy technologies in the State of Kerala.

Category 5: Non-Profit Organisations

​ Non-Profit Organisations involved in promotional efforts / Research & Innovation in renewable energy technologies in the State of Kerala.

​ Category 6: Local Self Governments

​ Including Local Bodies (Corporations, Municipalities, District Panchayats, Block Panchayats and Grama Panchayats) who have implemented renewable energy projects / involved in promotional efforts in the State of Kerala.

​ Category 7: Individuals

​ Including Individuals involved in promotional efforts / Research & Innovation in renewable energy and those who have implemented renewable energy projects in the State of Kerala.

​ Category 8:    Outstanding Contribution in Renewable Energy (Individual) – on nomination basis

​ Eminent Personality by nomination for outstanding contribution in renewable energy projects in the State of Kerala.
