 First RESCO mode Solar Power Plant of ANERT commissioned at RUBCO, Kannur (17-Dec-2022)

The first RESCO model project in the state to be implemented by ANERT in Thalassery in Kannur district in Rabco Co-operative Hon. Minister of Public Works - Tourism Department Shri. Mohammad Riaz inaugurated.

Hon. Kerala Assembly Speaker AN Shamseer presided over the function.

Anert spent Rs 1.8 crore for the construction of the 350 KW solar power plant.
The switch-on ceremony of the plant was done by Anert CEO Shri. Narendra Nath Veluri held the IFS. Rabco Group Chairman Mr. Karai Rajan, Managing Director Shri. Mr. PV Haridas, Anert Additional Chief Technical Manager. Jayachandran Nair P, Kannur District Project Engineer Shri. Muhammad Rashid were also present.

BSB Solar, an agency based in Kollam, was responsible for the construction. The plant will generate an average of 42,000 units of electricity per month; For this, Rabco Anert will be paid Rs 5.90 per unit. While this is lower than the rate currently being paid by Rabco to KSEBL, Anert's repayments can be completed over a period of about seven years. After that this solar power plant will be handed over to Rabco.
