The state-level inauguration of the Green Energy Income for underprivileged categories was inaugurated by Honorable Chief Minister Shri. Pinarayi Vijayan on December 1, 2022.

 

Honorable  electricity minister Shri. K. Krishnankutty, Honorable Transport Minister Shri. Antony Raju, Thiruvananthapuram Mayor Smt. Arya Rajendran, Thiruvananthapuram District Panchayat President Shri. Suresh Kumar, Life Mission CEO Shri. P.B. Nooh IAS  were present.

For 300 Life Mission houses, a solar power plant with a capacity of 2 kW was installed and a 3 kW solar power plant was installed in 100 houses handed over by the Scheduled Caste department .After their consumption  they will receive an additional income at a fixed rate for the excess electricity generated. The induction Cook Stoves were also distributed  to the beneficiaries.In this way, there will be a significant reduction in the usage of cooking gas.
