Visit of Netherlands delegation to Kochi

The Embassy of the Netherlands had requested ACS-Power for arranging a visit to Kochi for interacting with the stakeholders.
A discussion chaired by ACS was organised at KTDC Bolgatty on 3rd Apr 2024 with the industry stakeholders in the Green Hydrogen cluster. MEC+ made a presentation on the roadmap prepared. GIZ representatives also participated. Representatives were present from Cochin Shipyard, Cochin Port Authority, FACT, KMRL, TCC, KSRTC, etc.
In the afternoon the delegates visited Cochin Shipyard and experienced a journey in the first hydrogen (fuel cell powered) boat built in India by Cochin Shipyard. A ride in an electric boat operated by the Kochi Water Metro was also undertaken.
On 4th Apr 2024, an academic interaction was organised at the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT). Faculty and research students from CUSAT, IIT Palakkad, NIT Calicut, and CAPE College of Engineering Muttathara Thiruvananthapuram, participated in the discussions. The Vice Chancellor of CUSAT Prof P.G. Sankaran was the chief guest in the programme.
