Hon'ble Minister was speaking at the state-level inauguration of the project to install solar power plants in public institutions under the leadership of Anert. People's participation is very important in rural energy development efforts. He said that locally available energy sources should be identified and utilized to the maximum extent.
Solar power plants have been set up as a model project in Pinarai village panchayat of Kannur district. In Pinarai Gram Panchayat, 13 out of 30 government institutions have been installed in the on-grid project and 17 anganwadis have installed off-grid solar power plants with a capacity of 1 kilowatt each.
Kannur District Panchayat President PP Divya presided over the function Rajya Sabha M PDO. V. Sivadasan was the chief guest. Anert CEO Shri. Narendra Nath Veluri IFS, Chief Minister's Constituency Representative Mr. P. Balan, Thalassery Block Panchayat President Smt. P. Anitha, President of Pinarai Grama Panchayat Mr. KK Rajeevan, Anert Chief Technical Manager Mr. Aneesh S Prasad participated. The function was organized in full compliance with the Covid norms.
